Showing at the Rose Center Theater in Orange County's Westminster, California June 28 through July 14. 

The Rose Center Theater is seeking exceptional singers, dancers, and actors to bring to life the magical Broadway musical Disney's Beauty and the Beast. The producers encourage performers of diverse backgrounds to audition. 

AUDITION DATES & TIMES

TUESDAY APRIL 30th from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM or

WEDNESDAY MAY 1st  from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

**All Youth Performers 14 and Under, and performers unable to attend the in-person auditions are requested to submit a self tape for consideration. Please complete the audition form to receive the self tape instructions.

CALLBACKS

Callbacks will be at the invitation of the Artistic Team and are scheduled for the evenings of Thursday, May 2nd (7:30 PM) and/or Friday, May 3rd (6:30 PM)

CONTRACT

A pay stipend will be provided. This is a non-union production.

SEEKING performers ages 8+

Note: With the exception of the Youth Chorus and the role of Chip, this production will be cast with adults and performers ages 15+.

  • BELLE: Vibrant and intelligent, someone who wants more out of life than an ordinary existence. Optimistic, fun-loving, caring and eager to experience life. Vocal Range E3 to F5
  • BEAST: A Prince transformed into a terrifying beast for his lack of compassion. Hot-tempered and commanding, but with a warm, loving heart buried far beneath the gruff exterior. Vocal Range A2 to F4
  • MAURICE: Belle's loving, eccentric father. A child at heart and inventor in his own world. Vocal Range Bb2 to Db4
  • GASTON: Egotistical, hyper-masculine, villain determined to marry Belle. Manipulative, yet charming and earnest. Vocal Range: A2 to E4
  • LEFOU: Gaston's fawning friend, not too bright. Athletic/Acrobatic Vocal Range B2 to F#4
  • LES FILLES DE LA VILLE (Silly Girls - 3): A group of Gaston's fanatical followers who energetically pursue him in the hopes of winning.
  • LUMIERE: Suave, debonair, enchanted candelabra. A loyal and steadfast servant. Vocal Range: F#2 to F#4
  • COGSWORTH: An officious, excitable, English major-domo; becomes a mantle clock. Vocal Range A2 to E4
  • MRS. POTTS: A warm-hearted, maternal enchanted teapot. Loyal, caring, and playful. With a beautiful vocal tone Vocal Range F#3 to G5
  • CHIP: An enchanted teacup and Mrs. Potts' darling son. Innocent, playful, and bright-eyed. Vocal Range A3 to F5
  • MADAME DE LA GRANDE BOUCHE: Former opera diva-turned-enchanted wardrobe. Caring, refined, with a larger than life personality. Vocal Range C#4 to D5
  • BABETTE: A saucy, enchanted feather-duster, and the object of Lumiere's affections. A playful, gorgeous, seductive, French maid. Vocal Range C4 to F5
  • MONSIEUR D'ARQUE: Proprietor of the local insane asylum. Vocal Range D3 to A4
  • ​CHORUS: Exceptional singers, actors, and dancers to double as featured roles: Villagers, Enchanted Castle Objects, Young Prince, Baker, Marie (Baker’s Wife), Narrator, Old Beggar Woman, Wolves, etc. All Vocal Types and Ranges.
  • YOUTH CHORUS: Talented singers, actors, and dancers ages 8 to 14. All Vocal Types and Ranges.

WHAT TO PREPARE FOR THE AUDITION

Please prepare & bring sheet music from a Disney or similar style musical theater song. If singing to an instrumental backing track please have your music device cued up and ready to plug-in. Song cuts should be no longer than 32 bars or 1-minute in length. An accompanist and score will be provided. Please bring a HEADSHOT and RESUME. All performers will be requested to take part in a dance/movement evaluation. Please dress and/or bring appropriate clothes and shoes accordingly. There will be time and space made available to change, if needed.
