Commemorating twenty-five years since the horrific tragedy that took place on September 11, 2001, Bright Blue Sky returns to the Rose Center Theater stage. This entirely original production returns from its acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, where it moved audiences with its honesty, humor, and hope. This September, Rose Center Theater brings it home for five performances only, timed exactly to the anniversary.

Bright Blue Sky transports you to the 104th floor of the World Trade Center's North Tower on the morning of September 11, 2001. Witness the courage, vulnerability, and enduring humanity of a group of ordinary coworkers facing an extraordinary morning. During these desperate hours, not knowing whether the day will end as it began, the characters come together through their differences to find their shared humanity. In a series of charming, endearing, and deeply heartfelt vignettes, each character relives moments from their past, revealing an uplifting story of hope amid tragedy and loss within love.

Written by Vincent Aniceto (book and lyrics) and Tim Nelson (music), Bright Blue Sky remembers the lives forever changed by 9/11.

September 11-13 and 19-20, 2026

Five performances only - Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM, Sundays at 2:00 PM.

Run Time: Approximately 90 minutes, no intermission

Suggested for ages 13 and up
