A Belle for the Books: Rising Star Olivia Aniceto Brings Belle to Life at the Rose Center Theater this Summer!

The magic of live theater thrives on the dedication and passion of its performers. This summer, the Rose Center Theater in Orange County is thrilled to welcome home a familiar face, Olivia Aniceto, who will be gracing the stage as Belle in their enchanting production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

Olivia Aniceto, a rising senior at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee pursuing a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre, takes on the coveted role of Belle. And this production holds a special place in Olivia's heart. "Beauty and the Beast was my 'covid show' my junior year of high school," she explains, "we were all set to open on March 12, 2020, and then the shutdown happened the next day." Four years later, Olivia gets to fulfill her long-awaited dream.

Olivia's portrayal of Belle promises to be both heartwarming and inspiring. "Belle, like me, adores her family, craves adventure, and loves a good book!" she exclaims. Olivia highlights Belle's bravery and resilience, qualities she deeply admires. "She never fails to command respect for herself and those she loves and follows her moral compass throughout this wild adventure," Olivia says. This production marks a special homecoming for Olivia. She fondly recalls her Rose Center Theater debut in 2007 as Tam in Miss Saigon. "Being back with my Rose Center family is what I'm looking forward to the most," she beams. Olivia credits Rose Center Theater's Tim Nelson for nurturing her passion for theater over the years.

Olivia highlights a particularly special song she's eager to perform: "No Matter What." The beauty of the song is amplified by the fact that she'll be singing it with her real-life father, Vincent Aniceto, who is set to play Maurice. "I am so honored to be able to do this dream role with my Dad playing... my Dad!"

This heartwarming detail adds yet another layer of magic to the production. In speaking of her upbringing, Olivia's advice to her younger performer self is both encouraging and insightful: "Have courage and be kind." She emphasizes the importance of bravery in the face of adversity- or an audience-, but also stresses the value of kindness in all aspects of life.

Resonating with Jane Austen's "Emma," a character admired for her intelligence, beauty, and wealth – qualities Olivia aspires to embody.  She's particularly excited for audiences to experience the show's timeless meaning: "This show has such a beautiful message, embracing all differences no matter how challenging they may be."

Whether you're a lifelong fan of Beauty and the Beast or looking for a magical night out with the family, this production promises an unforgettable experience.  Olivia invites everyone to join the Rose Center Theater: "This tale as old as time is just as it's imagined with the iconic musical numbers and an ever enchanting cast, this love story will warm your heart!"

This captivating production starr the talented Olivia Aniceto as Belle boasts stunning sets, dazzling costumes, and the unforgettable music of Alan Menken and Tim Rice, including beloved classics like "Be Our Guest" and "Beauty and the Beast."
