A Cast to Remember
Every great musical is defined not only by its songs and story, but by the people who bring them to life. This September, the Rose Center Theater proudly introduces the cast of Annie, a company of local performers whose talent, heart, and passion are set to shine as brightly as the footlights themselves.
From spirited orphans to larger-than-life villains, from household staff to the halls of the White House, this ensemble of actors promises to deliver the joy, humor, and heart that have made Annie one of Broadway’s most enduring classics.

Our Two Annies
At the center of it all is Annie herself, portrayed in alternating performances by Ava Madison Gray and Everly Marie Guerra. Each brings her own voice, spirit, and spark to the role, ensuring that every performance feels fresh, heartfelt, and unforgettable. Together, they embody the resilience, mischief, and boundless optimism that have made Annie a cultural icon for nearly fifty years.
Leads Who Steal the Spotlight
Annie’s story unfolds with a cast of unforgettable leads. Chris Caputo takes on the role of the stern-yet-softhearted Daddy Warbucks, while Kristin Caputo portrays the loyal and kind-hearted Grace Farrell. The hilariously wicked orphanage matron Miss Hannigan is brought to life by Karen Rymar, with Vincent Aniceto as her conniving brother Rooster Hannigan and Colette Peters as his partner-in-crime, Lily St. Regis.
These characters form the backbone of Annie’s journey, providing the comedy, conflict, and companionship that propel the story forward.
The Orphan Family
No production of Annie is complete without the group of plucky orphans who share Annie’s world. With alternating performers across key roles- including Molly, Pepper, Duffy, July, Kate, and Tessie- these young actors bring vivacity, mischief, and camaraderie to the stage. From heartfelt ballads to boisterous group numbers, they embody the enduring message that even in hardship, family and friendship can flourish.
The World of New York City
Beyond the orphanage, a vibrant world comes to life. Inside the Warbucks mansion, the household staff provides both warmth and wit. On the radio airwaves, the gleeful patter of Bert Healy adds 1930s charm. Across the city, Hooverville residents and lively ensemble members remind us of the struggles and resilience of the Great Depression era. Even the President himself, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, makes an appearance, inspiring Annie- and the audience- with a vision of a brighter future.
And Yes… Sandy Too!
It wouldn’t be Annie without the world’s most famous canine companion. Sandy, Annie’s four-legged friend, will trot across the stage, stealing hearts with every wag of the tail. Together, Annie and Sandy remind audiences that hope can be found in the most unexpected friendships.

The Magic of Faces and Stories
This year’s cast represents a cross-section of Orange County’s vibrant performing arts community. Some are stepping onto the Rose Center Theater stage for the very first time; others are returning to share their talents once again. Collectively, they form a community of artists who embody the theater’s mission: to celebrate the joy of live performance and to bring stories to life that resonate across generations.
As Director & Musical Director Tim Nelson shares: “What makes Annie so powerful is that every role carries heart. It’s about community. It’s about resilience. And this cast brings those themes alive in ways that feel fresh and true.”
