The Holiday Feast of Stephen
An Original Musical at the Rose Center Theater

The Rose Center Theater invites performers to audition for the upcoming original holiday musical, Robin Hood and the White Arrow: The Holiday Feast of Stephen, playing November 21–23, December 5–7, and December 19–21, 2025. The creative team is now accepting appointment requests for in-person auditions on Monday, October 13, 2025, for adult performers and younger performers ages 15+, as well as self-tape submissions from youth ages 8–14 (due by October 12, 2025). About the Production​​​​

Step into Sherwood Forest this holiday season with Robin Hood and the White Arrow: The Holiday Feast of Stephen — an original musical adventure bursting with heart, humor, and heroism! Featuring a lush, sweeping score, exhilarating swordplay, and a timeless love story, this all-new production brings the legendary hero and his merry band to life like never before.

As Robin Hood and his companions journey to Nottingham to celebrate the Feast of Stephen, holiday magic intertwines with thrilling action and heartfelt romance. Perfect for the whole family, this unforgettable tale is sure to be a highlight of the Rose Center Theater’s 2025 holiday season.

Robin Hood & the White Arrow is a Rose Center Theater main stage production that will primarily cast adult and younger adult performers, with a select number of roles available for youth and children.

What to Prepare

In-person Auditions (only for ages 15+):

Prepare 32 bars (no more than 1 minute) from a contemporary or classic Broadway-style song. Bring sheet music in the correct key (accompanist provided) OR have your device cued up with a karaoke track. All performers should be prepared for a short movement combination. 

Self-tape Auditions (only for ages 8–14):

Submit a clear video singing 32 bars (no more than 1 minute) from a Broadway or similar musical theater song. Singing from the show is welcome. Please do not sing a cappella; use a piano or karaoke track.

Callback Information:
Invited callbacks are scheduled for Wednesday, October 15th between 6:00PM - 10:00PM.

Important Dates:

First Rehearsal: Saturday afternoon, October 18

Tech Week: November 16-20

Opening: Friday, November 21 at 7:30 PM

Closing: Sunday, December 21 at 2:00 PM

 

Performance Dates:

Fridays: November 21, December 5 and 19 at 7:30PM

Saturdays: November 22, December 6 and 20 at 7:30PM

Sundays: November 23, December 7 and 21 at 2:00PM

Rehearsals:

Rehearsals begin Saturday afternoon, October 18, 2025. Rehearsals will be held weekday evenings and select weekends. A detailed schedule will be distributed at auditions. Performers are only called when needed. Cast must be fully available for all tech week and performance dates.

Contract: 

This is a non-union civic production. A stipend will be provided to actors based on role.

What You'll Need for the Audition Form​:

  1. A Current Headshot (in color - please do not upload a b&w photo)

  2. A PDF of your resume

If submitting a self-tape

  • One (1) video link featuring your SLATE and SONG combined into a single clip. 

  • One (1) video link of your dance or movement reel (optional - only if available).​

 

Self-Tape Instructions:

  • Start with a Slate (include: name, height, age if under 18, location)

  • Performance of your audition song (with accompaniment/karaoke track - please do not sing a cappella)

  • Film in landscape mode and keep your chest and full face in frame

  • Use good front lighting (natural light or ring light recommended)

  • Before submitting watch your tape to make sure we can hear and see you clearly

  • Upload videos to YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, or Dropbox. Ensure links are set to “shareable” and not password-protected.
