The Renaissance is getting a Broadway remix! Something Rotten!, the Tony-nominated musical comedy, makes its Orange County debut this summer at the Rose Center Theater—blending Shakespearean drama with tap numbers, lute solos, and laugh-out-loud absurdity.
From the minds behind Mrs. Doubtfire the musical, this wildly imaginative hit is set in 1595, where two playwright brothers—Nick and Nigel Bottom—are desperate to outshine the Renaissance rockstar of the stage: William Shakespeare. Their solution? Invent something brand new... a play that sings, dances, and—somehow—involves an omelette.
